This self-driving traffic cone makes roadwork safer. Robocone is an automated robotic traffic cone designed to replace the manual placement and removal of traffic cones by human roadworkers, reducing the risk of accidents and injuries. Robocone has been developed as part of a multi-institutional research project between the University of Bristol, the University of Southampton and Trinity College Dublin. Australian company Transurban successfully completed trials of Robocone on its CityLink toll
